About the Artist
Cengiz Kurtoğlu
Cengiz Kurtoğlu, 5 Mayıs 1959'da Artvin'in Arhavi ilçesinde doğmuş, Türk müziğinin unutulmaz seslerinden biridir. Laz kökenli olan sanatçı, genç yaşlarda müziğe ilgi duymuş ve "Ciha Dağı Efsanesi" adlı orkestrasıyla yerel sahnelerde performans sergilemeye başlamıştır. 1982'de İstanbul'a gelerek profesyonel müzik kariyerine adım atmış, 1984'te yayımladığı ilk albümü "Sen Sözden Anlamaz Mısın?" ile büyük bir çıkış yapmıştır. Bu albümle birlikte "Taverna müziği"nin en güçlü temsilcilerinden biri haline gelen Cengiz Kurtoğlu, zamanla Arabesk ve Fantezi müziğin de duygulu sesi olmuştur. Sanatçı, aşk, ayrılık ve hasret gibi temaları işleyen şarkılarıyla milyonların kalbine dokunmuş ve kendisine "Cengizciler" adını taşıyan büyük bir hayran kitlesi yaratmıştır. Duygulu sesi ve samimi sahne performansları sayesinde Türk müziğinin kült isimleri arasında yer almayı başarmıştır. Öne çıkan şarkılarından bazıları: "Unutulan," "Yorgun Yıllarım," "Duvardaki Resim," "Resmini Öptüm de Yattım," "Sensiz Olmuyor," "Küllenen Aşk," "Saklı Düşler" ve "Aşkın Cenneti" olmuştur. Bu eserler, onun aşkı ve hüznü anlatmadaki ustalığını en iyi şekilde yansıtan parçalardır.
