About the Artist
Göksel
Göksel — tam adıyla Göksel Demirpençe — 25 Kasım 1971’de İstanbul’da doğdu. Üniversitede felsefe eğitimi almaya başladı ancak kısa süre sonra radyoda vokal dersleri almaya ve farklı orkestralarda arka vokal yapmaya yöneldi; ilk yıllarında iki ünlü kadın sanatçının korosunda yer aldı. 1997’de çıkan ilk albümü Yollar ile profesyonel kariyerine adım attı; albümün ilk single’ı “Sabır” derhal hit oldu. Takip eden yıllarda, 2001’de Körebe, 2003’te Söz Ver, 2005’te Arka Bahçem gibi albümlerle devam etti; her yeni albümde hem vokal gücü hem melodik pop-rock altyapısı ile geniş dinleyici kitlesi kazandı. Göksel’in müziği, duygusal sözler, güçlü vokal, akustik gitar–elektronik mix ve pop-rock altyapıların iç içe geçtiği; samimi, melodik ve zamansız bir tarzı temsil ediyor. Şarkıları yıllar içinde klasik hâline gelmiş; Türkiye pop-rock sahnesinde kalıcı bir yer edinmiştir. Hem 1990’lar hem 2000’ler hem de günümüzde aktif olması, sürekli yenilenen repertuarı ve sahne performanslarıyla Göksel — eski ve yeni kuşaklar için tanıdık, güvenilir bir kadın vokal olarak müzik listesindeki yerini koruyor.
