About the Artist
Leman Sam
1979 yılında İstanbul Devlet Opera ve Balesi'nin sınavını kazandı ve 1,5 yıl bu kurumda korist olarak çalıştıktan sonra İstanbul'un önemli gece kulüplerinden biri olan Günay Restaurant'ta 11 yıl şarkıcılık yaptı. Çok sayıda farklı dilde şarkılar söyleyen Leman Sam, geniş bir repertuvar oluşturdu. Sıklıkla diplomatik konserler verdi. Başlıca diplomatik konserleri: dönemin Portekiz Cumhurbaşkanı Mario Suarez ve Malezya Kralı ve Kraliyet Ailesine verdikleridir. Bunların yanı sıra Sopot Festivali, Abdi İpekçi Barış ve Dostluk Derneği Konseri, Türkmenbaşı Aşkabad konseri, Curaçao World Troubadour Festivali gibi etkinliklerde yer aldı.1988'de ilk albümünü yayımladı. Livaneli Şarkıları adlı bu ilk albümden sonra, 1990'da ikinci albümü Çağrı'yı çıkardı. Şarkıları ile ülke çapında tanındı. Albümlerinde Azeri türkülerine yer verdi. Günay Restaruant'taki sahne çalışmasını 1991'de sonlandırdı.1992'de Ayak Sesleri adlı albümünü çıkardı. Anladım adlı şarkısı popüler oldu. Eski Fotoğraflar (1994), İlla (1998) albümlerinden sonra son olarak 2012 yılında Nereye Kadar adlı albümü çıkardı.
